A Note From Jessica

How To Make an Easter Bunny from our Empty Tubes

First, sanitize the bottle. (see Videos tab for a tutorial). Take one pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Take one of the halves and cut in half again. Take the two smaller pieces and bend to a "v" shape. Attach those pieces to either end of the longer pipe cleaner as shown by twisting each piece in place.

Twist around the "nozzle" of the bottle or tube until they appear as whiskers. Twist more pipe cleaners if needed. Take your paper towel, wrap around the bottle to cover and cut off any long pieces as shown.

Then print the template of the bunny, color with crayons (highlighters are great too!) and cut.

Next tape each piece in place: on the shoulder of the bottle, the hind legs on the sides and finally the snout on the top of the bottle opening.

Finally, grab cotton ball or pad and undo accordingly to make a cute tail. Tape on the bottom of the bottle.

Follow the same steps for making the "carrot" on our 0.5oz travel size tubes!

How to sanitize a California Baby bottle

A note from Jessica, founder and developer of California Baby: Modern living generates trash. At California Baby, we feel it is our obligation to work to reduce how much of our packaging makes its way into the land fill. So, in addition to utilizing green chemistry product formulas, natural and organic ingredients we also:
  • use plastic that is highly recyclable and most readily accepted by recycling facilities across the country
  • utilize as much post consumer content into our bottles as possible to reduce the need for 'virgin' material
  • utilize 'tree-free' paper and water based inks for our labels that can be recycled with paper or our HDPE plastic bottles—no need to remove, simply toss the bottle whole into the recycle bin
  • use smart bottle design for easier reuse including creative uses such as crafting projects that you can do right at home
